Alana Thompson‘s Boyfriend Brings Out Joshua Efird‘s True Colors

For almost two years, Alana ‘Honey Boo’ Thompson has been dating Dralin Carswell. Yet, when he first came around, her sister, Pumpkin gave him the run down as to how he was to treat Alana. Then, when he showed up for Alana’s sixteenth birthday, Pumpkin’s husband, Josh Efird made it clear that he was the father figure. Therefore, Dralin was going to respect his sister-in-law or he was done. It seems that the family has come to like Dralin despite a few hiccups that he has made.

Now, things are shifting and fans are not so cool with Josh anymore. A few months back, Dralin was arrested for a car chase which included a DUI. Sadly, Alana Thompson was in the car with him when this happened. During all this, Josh got involved when he and Pumpkin apparently went to go get Alana from the police station. Unfortunately, the father of four went crazy and got himself handcuffed. Now, four months later, fans are speaking out on Reddit about why they think Dralin’s arrest showed who Josh really is.

The OP said that they never liked Josh from the beginning but this situation just made it worse. They also did not care for the fact that he was defending Dralin when his car chase could have gotten Alana killed. As fans know, Pumpkin reportedly picked her sister up at the police station after her boyfriend was arrested. Pumpkin’s recount of the story suggests that Josh was with her. Per Honey Boo Boo, Josh was almost immediately placed in handcuffs and taken down by the cops.

Now, it doesn’t sound as if Josh Efird was actually arrested for anything. There haven’t been any reports about it. It, however, does sound like the cops may have cuffed Josh and taken him down in an attempt to de-escalate the situation.

Redditors also noted how young Pumpkin was when she started dating Josh Efird. This could be why no one cares that Alana Thompson is several years younger than Dralin. Yet, other fans pointed out how Josh cannot always tolerate when his babies spit up on him and how he speaks to them in general. It seems that many viewers and fans of Mama June have disliked Josh for a long time. However, it was this particular incident that gave a voice to it.
