Lauryn “Pumpkin” Efird‘s new relationship seems to have started off on the wrong foot. Less than a month after ending her six-year marriage, the reality star got a boyfriend, suggesting she is more than ready for a new chapter. However, Lauryn didn’t watch out for any baggage — especially financial — and it is haunting her already.
Days after going official with her new man, Darrin Kitchens, it was revealed that he has four small claim judgments against him. Per InTouch Weekly, they were filed in the state of Georgia, where Kitchens is a resident. The first one, filed in January 2016 by his former landlord, was for an unspecified amount. Three years later, a collections company that handles unpaid debt requested $1,443.00. The third judgment was from a construction company called WP Land Management for $4,667, and Kitchen’s final small claims judgment was filed just last October. An auto finance company alleged he owed them $14,060. It is his most expensive.
With the small claim judgments dating back years ago, it is possible Lauryn could be aware of them. However, the Honey Boo Boo star has given no hint that there is trouble in paradise.

Lauryn’s budding romance comes amid her divorce from her estranged husband, Josh Efird. The pair called it quits earlier this month, with Lauryn filing.
