Lauryn “Pumpkin” Efird came under fire for what she decided to pack in her daughter Ella’s lunchbox. Ella, who is 5, is the oldest of Pumpkin’s four children, whom she shares with her husband Josh Efird. Reality star Pumpkin is also the guardian of her younger sister, Alana “Honey Boo Boo” Thompson.

Pumpkin probably thought she was innocently sharing the contents of her kindergartener’s lunch, but the moms of the internet wasted no time telling her that she was wrong. They slammed the lunch as “unhealthy,” among other things.

She shared the lunch on her Instagram Stories.

“Good morning,” Pumpkin labeled the photo, adding a melting smiley emoji and a smiley surrounded by hearts.

This all looked normal enough, but fans were certainly concerned by what they saw in Ella’s lunchbox.

The contents of her lunch gave people pause.

The pink and purple bento-style lunchbox has four compartments, as well as a fork and spoon with Ella’s name on them.

In the largest compartment were eight mozzarella sticks. There were red grapes in another compartment, and the two smallest compartments held trimmed whole strawberries.

Her choice was immediately slammed.

According to The Sun, someone took a screenshot of Pumpkin’s Instagram Stories and shared it to Reddit, prompting a whole lot of criticism in the process.

Commenters were quick to offer up their own opinions, with one person writing, “Who the f— gives their kids mozzarella sticks for lunch?”

The comments expressed concern for Pumpkin’s choices.

“And 8!?” one person questioned. “Of them how hard is it to make a sandwich JFC?”

“I’m more disturbed by the quantity here,” another added. “It’s the fact that she’s being taught to eat like this.”

Others were worried that the lunch was “all fat and sugar,” wondering where the protein was.

Some called the lunch ‘dangerous and unhealthy.’

“That’s too much cheese for a 5 yr old,” one of Pumpkin’s critics wrote. “Hell, it’s too much cheese for an adult really.”

Kids can definitely be picky eaters, so we understand Pumpkin wanting to give her daughter a lunch full of food she already knew she would eat while off at school. Still … that’s a lot of mozzarella sticks! Keep coming back to AllThing.MamaJune for more updates.
